We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Business Analyst to support the discovery, analysis, validation, and delivery of digital solutions.

This role is expected to be approximately 90% execution-focused and 10% strategic, requiring the candidate to work closely with business stakeholders, product teams, designers, developers, testers, and operations teams to understand user needs, document requirements, support solution design, and validate that delivered solutions meet business objectives.

The candidate should be comfortable engaging stakeholders, facilitating discussions, analysing business processes, translating needs into clear requirements, and supporting Agile delivery. The role requires someone who does not simply document what is requested, but seeks to understand the underlying problem, challenge existing ways of working where appropriate, and propose practical improvements.

Business Analysis & Requirements Management:

• Gather, document, and validate functional and non-functional requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, walkthroughs, and desk research.

• Go beyond what is asked to understand the underlying business problem before proposing or documenting solutions.

• Translate stakeholder needs into clear, actionable user stories, acceptance criteria, use cases, process flows, and technical specifications that development teams can execute against.

• Maintain clear and up-to-date requirements artefacts, process maps, decision logs, meeting notes, and supporting documentation.

• Ensure requirements are clear, complete, traceable, testable, and understood by both business and technical stakeholders.

Business Process Analysis & Improvement

• Map current-state business processes and identify inefficiencies, gaps, pain points, and improvement opportunities.

• Propose practical process enhancements that improve user experience, operational efficiency, or delivery outcomes.

• Challenge existing ways of doing things when a better path exists, rather than only documenting the status quo.

• Use service journey maps, process flows, and visual artefacts to communicate pain points, dependencies, and opportunities clearly.

• Support teams in aligning on journey improvements and practical service enhancements.

Data Analysis & User Insights

• Analyse data, user feedback, and operational observations to surface trends, pain points, and opportunities.

• Use findings to inform product decisions, process improvements, and prioritisation discussions.

• Support the presentation of insights using clear storytelling, visualisation, and structured analysis.

• Use tools such as SQL, Excel, and data visualisation software to analyse and present data where required.

Solution Design & Validation Support

• Support solution design by working closely with developers, designers, product owners, and stakeholders.

• Participate in ideation, prototyping, and validation activities to test ideas early.

• Favour rapid experimentation and evidence-based validation over prolonged debate.

• Help frame the right problems to solve through user-centred analysis, design thinking techniques, and stakeholder collaboration.

• Support the creation of workshop artefacts, visual maps, prototypes, and discussion materials.

Testing & Delivery Support

• Perform testing and validation of implemented solutions to ensure they meet business needs and function as intended.

• Support UAT preparation, test scenario creation, defect clarification, issue tracking, and resolution follow-up.

• Own assigned issues through to resolution by coordinating with business users, developers, testers, and product teams.

• Contribute to sprint planning, backlog refinement, release planning, and delivery tracking.

• Help the team stay focused on outcomes, priorities, and sprint or release commitments.

Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration

• Act as a liaison between product, technology, and business stakeholders.

• Ensure requirements, assumptions, dependencies, trade-offs, and decisions are clearly communicated and understood.

• Facilitate stakeholder discussions, workshops, and working sessions to generate actionable insights.

• Promote open and inclusive discussions through active listening, adaptability, and teamwork.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across product, design, engineering, operations, and business functions.

Continuous Improvement

• Continuously look for ways to improve team processes, delivery practices, and ways of working.

• Volunteer ideas, run small experiments, and share learnings with the team.

• Support a culture of ownership, collaboration, practical problem-solving, and continuous improvement.

• Address challenges creatively and implement practical solutions that improve delivery effectiveness.


Requirements

Qualities We Value

• Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Operations Management, or a related discipline.

• Alternatively, significant professional experience and demonstrated skills in business analysis, operations management, Agile/Scrum methodologies, or related areas may be considered in lieu of formal education.

• Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in business analysis, product delivery, operations, digital transformation, or related roles.

• Strong user-centred analysis, stakeholder engagement, and process modelling skills.

• Ability to gather, document, and validate functional and non-functional requirements.

• Ability to translate business needs into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and specifications.

• Experience facilitating workshops, stakeholder discussions, and design thinking activities that promote empathy, creativity, and collaboration.

• Familiarity with ideation and prototyping techniques to frame and solve the right problems.

• Ability to synthesise user research, stakeholder inputs, and data findings into clear service journey maps, pain points, and opportunities.

• Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work across product, design, engineering, operations, and business teams.

• Excellent communication and visualisation skills for storytelling and presenting findings effectively.

• Proficiency with tools to create visual maps, process flows, workshop artefacts, and requirements documentation.

• Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Excel, Visio, Lucidchart, Miro, SQL, and data visualisation software.

• Soft skills including active listening, adaptability, teamwork, curiosity, and openness to feedback.

• Ability to assess complex situations, identify problems, and devise practical solutions.

• Significant experience and knowledge in the respective domain would be preferred.
