Senior Business Analyst

CODEX SOLUTIONS PTE. LTD.

Together, We Can Make A Significant Impact – Position Overview

We are looking for a proactive and experienced Senior Business Analyst to lead requirements discovery, analysis, validation, and delivery support for complex or cross-functional digital initiatives.

This role is expected to be approximately 70% execution-focused and 30% strategic, requiring the candidate to work hands-on with stakeholders, product teams, designers, engineering teams, operations, and business users, while also shaping recommendations that influence product direction, process improvements, and long-term decision-making.

The Senior Business Analyst should be comfortable working with ambiguity, challenging assumptions, navigating conflicting stakeholder needs, and translating complex business and technical requirements into structured, actionable specifications. The role also requires strong ownership in ensuring that solutions are validated, business outcomes are met, and junior Business Analysts are guided in effective requirements and stakeholder management practices.

Be Part of Our Success – Key Responsibilities

Requirements Discovery & Problem Framing

• Lead requirements discovery for complex or cross-functional initiatives through stakeholder interviews, workshops, walkthroughs, and desk research.

• Manage stakeholder expectations and challenge assumptions to uncover the real problem before jumping to solutions.

• Translate ambiguous business needs into structured, actionable, and testable business and technical requirements.

• Develop user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, use cases, business rules, service journeys, and technical specifications that guide delivery teams.

• Architect requirements that address cross-functional challenges across business, operations, product, design, and engineering teams.

• Navigate conflicting requirements between stakeholder groups and facilitate consensus without defaulting to the loudest voice or existing way of doing things.

Business Process Analysis & Structural Improvement

• Assess current-state business processes across multiple work units and identify inefficiencies, gaps, pain points, and improvement opportunities.

• Propose structural improvements that deliver measurable impact to users and the business, rather than only incremental fixes.

• Develop future-state process flows, service journeys, and operating considerations to support solution design and implementation.

• Use process maps, journey maps, and visual artefacts to communicate problems, dependencies, opportunities, and proposed improvements.

• Actively identify and eliminate process friction within the team by proposing, trialling, and scaling better ways of working.

Data Analysis & Strategic Recommendations

• Use advanced data analysis to identify trends, uncover insights, predict outcomes, and support evidence-based decision-making.

• Translate data findings, user feedback, and operational observations into strategic recommendations that shape product direction and prioritisation.

• Work with stakeholders to define success measures, validate business impact, and assess whether proposed changes achieve intended outcomes.

• Use tools such as SQL, Excel, dashboards, and data visualisation software to analyse and present findings clearly.

• Provide recommendations that support both immediate delivery needs and longer-term product or business improvements.

Experimentation, Prototyping & Validation

• Design and run experiments, prototypes, pilots, and proof-of-concepts to validate ideas early and build evidence before committing to large-scale delivery.

• Work with Product Managers, UX Designers, Business Architects, Solution Architects, and engineering teams to test assumptions and refine solution options.

• Apply ideation and prototyping techniques to frame and solve the right problems.

• Synthesise user research, workshop insights, data findings, and prototype feedback into practical recommendations.

• Encourage rapid experimentation and evidence-based validation over prolonged debate.

Testing, Quality & Delivery Support

• Lead testing and validation efforts for medium-to-large initiatives to ensure implemented solutions meet business needs and function as intended.

• Own quality outcomes by ensuring requirements are clear, traceable, testable, and validated through to deployment.

• Support UAT planning, test scenario preparation, defect clarification, issue triage, and go-live readiness.

• Work with delivery and engineering teams to resolve issues through to closure.

• Ensure delivered solutions are aligned with business objectives, user needs, operational requirements, and compliance expectations.

Project Planning & Delivery Management Support

• Drive project planning and delivery management activities for medium-to-large scale initiatives.

• Manage scope, dependencies, priorities, risks, issues, and resources to keep delivery on track.

• Contribute to sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, release planning, and delivery tracking.

• Work closely with Product Managers, Delivery Managers, engineering teams, and stakeholders to maintain alignment on delivery outcomes and commitments.

• Communicate delivery risks, trade-offs, assumptions, and decisions clearly to stakeholders and project teams.

Stakeholder Engagement & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Facilitate workshops and working sessions that generate actionable insights and drive user-focused service enhancements.

• Engage stakeholders across business, product, design, engineering, operations, and governance teams to ensure alignment on priorities and outcomes.

• Facilitate technical and business alignment when requirements, priorities, or constraints differ across stakeholder groups.

• Use strong storytelling, communication, and visualisation skills to present findings, recommendations, and trade-offs effectively.

• Foster open and inclusive discussions through active listening, adaptability, and collaboration.

Coaching & Continuous Improvement

• Coach junior Business Analysts on effective requirements practices, stakeholder management, facilitation, documentation, and ownership mindset.

• Promote a culture of curiosity, accountability, continuous improvement, and evidence-based decision-making.

• Encourage constructive challenge and “farming for dissent” to improve current approaches and avoid groupthink.

• Identify practices that work well and support scaling them across teams where appropriate.

• Share knowledge, templates, lessons learnt, and practical ways of working to uplift the overall BA capability.
