We are looking for a creative and user-focused Product Designer to design intuitive, accessible, and user-centric digital experiences that support operational needs and align with the overall product vision.

The Product Designer will work closely with Product Managers, Business Analysts, engineers, and stakeholders to understand user needs, define user journeys, translate requirements into design solutions, and validate designs through user research and usability testing.

The role requires someone who can balance user experience, business objectives, and technical feasibility, while working within Agile delivery cycles to deliver iterative design improvements that respond to evolving requirements.

User Research & Design Discovery

• Conduct user research, usability testing, and design feedback sessions to understand user needs, behaviours, pain points, and operational workflows.

• Analyse user feedback, behavioural observations, and research findings to recommend continuous design improvements.

• Work with Product Managers, Business Analysts, and stakeholders to define user journeys, design problems, and product requirements.

• Apply human-centred design principles to ensure usability across user interactions.

• Conduct regular usability testing sessions with operational users to validate design decisions and incorporate feedback into design iterations.

Product Design & Prototyping

• Create user flows, wireframes, mock-ups, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs to support product development.

• Design intuitive, accessible, and user-centric interfaces that align with the overall product vision.

• Translate user needs and product requirements into practical design solutions that can be implemented by engineering teams.

• Use ideation and prototyping techniques to validate design concepts early and refine solutions before development.

• Ensure designs support responsive behaviour, accessibility, and usability across relevant user touchpoints.

Requirements & Agile Delivery Support

• Collaborate with Product Managers, Business Analysts, and engineers to define product requirements, user journeys, and UI/UX expectations.

• Document clear UI/UX requirements within user stories, including user flows, interaction behaviour, design rationale, and acceptance considerations.

• Work within Agile development cycles and deliver iterative design updates based on changing priorities, feedback, and delivery needs.

• Support sprint planning, backlog refinement, design reviews, and implementation clarification where required.

• Balance business objectives, technical feasibility, and user experience considerations when proposing design solutions.

Design Implementation & Collaboration

• Work closely with development teams to ensure accurate implementation of designs.

• Provide design specifications, assets, interaction details, and guidance required for implementation.

• Review implemented screens and provide feedback to ensure alignment with approved designs and intended user experience.

• Collaborate across product, business, design, engineering, and operations teams to ensure product experiences are practical, usable, and fit-for-purpose.

• Communicate design decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Design Systems & Continuous Improvement

• Ensure consistency across products through the use of design systems, UI standards, reusable components, and design guidelines.

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of design practices, processes, templates, and standards.

• Promote user-centred design practices within the team.

• Identify opportunities to improve usability, accessibility, design consistency, and overall product experience.

Requirements

Qualities We Value

• Degree in Interactive Design Engineering, Digital Media, Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related discipline.

• Alternatively, significant professional experience and demonstrated skills in UX Design, Interaction Design, Product Design, or related areas may be considered in lieu of formal education.

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in product design, UX design, UI/UX design, interaction design, or related digital product design roles.

• Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design work, including research, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, high-fidelity designs, and delivered product outcomes.

• Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or equivalent.

• Good understanding of user-centred design, interaction design, accessibility, usability, and responsive design principles.

• Experience conducting user research, usability testing, and gathering design feedback.

• Ability to analyse user feedback and translate insights into practical design improvements.

• Experience working in Agile product or software delivery environments.

• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

• Ability to work closely with Product Managers, Business Analysts, engineers, and stakeholders to align design decisions with product goals and delivery constraints.

• Proficient in UI design and familiar with front-end libraries or frameworks such as React, Tailwind, or equivalent.

• Basic understanding of front-end technologies and design implementation considerations would be advantageous.
