Energy Software R&D Engineer / Project Engineer

Job Summary

Support R&D collaborations with NUS,EMA, and partners to develop software solutions for grid peak shaving, demandresponse, and energy management. Drive project implementation and continuousimprovement of solar PV, battery storage, and load control systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize energy management platforms and demand response control systems for solar PV, battery energy storage, and electrical loads to enhance grid peak shaving and energy efficiency
• Design and implement coordinated control solutions integrating renewable energy and storage systems to improve system performance
• Conduct technical research and data analysis to support project submissions and collaborations with universities and government agencies
• Perform on-site system testing, commissioning, and data collection to validate system functionality and identify improvement opportunities
• Analyze site performance data to drive continuous system enhancements and ensure alignment with project goals
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate IoT, EMS, BMS, SCADA, and API technologies into energy management solutions
• Apply programming skills, particularly in Python, to develop and maintain software tools supporting energy management and grid interaction
• Stay updated on renewable energy, grid digitalization, energy storage, and AI-based energy management technologies to contribute to innovation and project success

Preferred competencies andqualifications

• Background in power grid engineering, energy engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or related fields
• Experience with programming, data analysis, IoT, EMS, BMS, SCADA, APIs, or power systems to support software development and system integration
• Interest in renewable energy, grid digitalization, energy storage, and AI-based energy management technologies. Related experience preferred.
