ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior RPA Developer with deep UiPath expertise and a strong background in Insurance and Reinsurance operations. This is a high-impact, senior individual contributor role within our Intelligent Automation Centre of Excellence (CoE), responsible for leading end-to-end automation delivery, mentoring junior developers, and partnering with business stakeholders to drive measurable operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate combines hands-on technical mastery of the UiPath platform with an understanding of complex insurance and reinsurance workflows, including policy processing, claims management, bordereaux reconciliation, and treaty accounting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, develop, test, and deploy end-to-end RPA solutions using UiPath Studio, Orchestrator, and Action Center

• Lead automation of insurance and reinsurance workflows: policy lifecycle, claims processing, bordereaux reconciliation, cession accounting, and premium billing

• Conduct process discovery workshops and feasibility assessments; produce Process Definition Documents (PDDs) and Solution Design Documents (SDDs)

• Integrate RPA bots with core insurance platforms (e.g., Guidewire, Duck Creek, Majesco, or equivalent) and enterprise data systems via REST/SOAP APIs

• Define, enforce, and continuously improve RPA coding standards, governance frameworks, and deployment best practices

• Mentor and guide junior RPA developers; conduct structured code reviews and knowledge transfer sessions

• Collaborate with business analysts, process owners, and IT architects to identify, prioritise, and roadmap automation opportunities

• Monitor bot performance, SLAs, and exception handling via Orchestrator dashboards; perform root-cause analysis and remediation

• Support the integration of AI/ML capabilities including UiPath Document Understanding, AI Center, and process mining tools

• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, change logs, and operational runbooks for all deployed automations

• Ensure compliance with MAS regulatory requirements, data protection standards, and internal audit controls

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

• 5–10 years of hands-on RPA development experience, with a minimum of 4 years dedicated to UiPath

• Expert proficiency in UiPath Studio, REFramework, Orchestrator, UiPath Apps, and Action Center

• Strong programming skills in VB.NET, C#, or Python for custom activity and library development

• Proven experience integrating bots with REST/SOAP APIs, SAP, SQL/NoSQL databases, and mainframe systems

• Familiarity with UiPath Document Understanding, AI Center, Task Mining, and Process Mining (strongly preferred)

• Solid understanding of SDLC, Agile/Scrum methodology, and version control using Git

• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) in an enterprise RPA deployment context

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for RPA deployment automation is an advantage

DOMAIN KNOWLEDGE — INSURANCE & REINSURANCE

Candidates with direct industry experience in Insurance or Reinsurance are strongly preferred. Relevant knowledge includes:

• P&C or Life insurance operations: underwriting processes, policy lifecycle management, claims processing, and premium accounting

• Reinsurance concepts: facultative and treaty arrangements, bordereaux reporting, loss run analysis, and cession accounting

• Familiarity with the Lloyd’s of London market, ACORD standards, or Singapore MAS regulatory framework

• Experience automating finance and actuarial workflows including IFRS 17 reporting, risk aggregation, and regulatory submissions

• Knowledge of reinsurance platforms (e.g., RI3K, Sequel, Remetrica) or core insurance systems is a significant advantage

• Strong stakeholder communication skills; able to engage technical and non-technical audiences at all seniority levels

• Proven ability to lead workshops, conduct process assessments, and translate business requirements into automation solutions

• Analytical and structured problem-solving mindset with attention to edge cases and exception handling

• Self-directed and accountable; able to manage multiple deliverables and deadlines without close supervision

• Experience working in regulated financial services or insurance environments with an understanding of compliance and audit requirements
