Job Summary
We are an Italian restaurant seeking a passionate and driven individual to manage kitchen operations, lead menu planning, and ensure high food quality and hygiene standards in an open kitchen environment.
Responsibilities
- Apply expertise in Italian cuisine to prepare and present dishes in an open kitchen setting
- Manage daily kitchen operations by coordinating with chefs at all levels to ensure smooth workflow
- Organize food production processes to achieve cost-effectiveness and maintain hygiene standards
- Prepare menus based on ingredient quality, availability, and seasonality, ensuring daily and weekly market lists are completed
- Assist in formulating, coordinating, and supervising menu planning and implementation to meet restaurant standards
- Maintain and continuously improve food quality standards and presentation to enhance customer satisfaction
- Manage the kitchen efficiently according to established concept statements and operational guidelines
- Investigate and resolve customer complaints promptly to uphold service excellence
- Oversee work progress to verify compliance with safety protocols and quality standards
- Requisition and estimate stock, materials, supplies, and equipment needed for kitchen operations
- Take responsibility for enforcing safety and food hygiene practices to ensure a safe working environment
