Principal, Rewards Advisory

We will count on you to

  • Lead end-to-end delivery and commercial ownership of multiple, complex client accounts across industries, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to high-quality standards.
  • Act as the primary trusted advisor to clients/stakeholders, translating business strategy into compensation and total rewards solutions.
  • Design and oversee advanced reward solutions including job evaluation frameworks, global and local salary structure strategy, short- and long-term incentive (STI/LTI) architecture, sales incentive plans, merit and promotion frameworks, performance calibration and governance.
  • Lead executive compensation engagements: board and executive pay benchmarking, LTI design and valuation, CEO and senior executive pay-for-performance frameworks, and KPI/target-setting advisory.
  • Drive project governance: anticipate and mitigate risks, establish robust change control, and ensure clear decision-making pathways.
  • Set technical standards and quality controls for the team; review and sign off on analyses, deliverables and client presentations.
  • Mentor and develop managers and analysts — build capability, provide formal feedback, and own succession planning.
  • Lead business development and revenue delivery: own pursuit strategy, prepare and present proposals, negotiate commercial terms, and expand existing client relationships (upsell and cross-sell).
  • Represent Mercer externally through client events, industry forums, publications and market insights.

What you need to have

  • Target-driven, commercially minded, resilient and adaptable to client and market change.
