About the Role

The Head of Sales is responsible for leading and developing the overall sales organization in Singapore, driving sustainable revenue growth, market expansion, and customer satisfaction in alignment with Endress+Hauser’s strategy, values, and governance standards. This role provides both strategic and operational leadership to industry sales teams, ensuring strong sales performance through disciplined forecasting, pipeline management, and opportunity reviews. The role defines and executes the country’s sales strategy in close collaboration with Marketing, and relevant key stakeholders, translating entity objectives into annual targets, KPIs, and actionable plans, and represents sales as a key member of the Singapore Management Team (SMT).

This role will be based in Singapore, and reports to the Managing Director.

The main tasks and responsibilities are

Country (Singapore) Sales Leadership & Strategy

  • Define, implement, and execute the country’s sales strategy in alignment with regional and Group objectives.
  • Work closely with Management, Product Management, and Industry Group Sales Teams to formulate annual sales targets, KPIs, and action plans.
  • Monitor market trends, customer segments, and competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities.
  • Ensure disciplined forecasting, pipeline management, and sales performance reviews.

People Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop External and Internal Sales Teams to achieve performance, capability, and engagement goals.
  • Foster a high-performance, collaborative, and customer-centric sales culture.
  • Ensure clear goal setting, regular performance dialogues, and succession planning within the sales organization.
  • Drive capability development in solution selling, key account management, and value-based selling.

Customer, Key Account & Market Development

  • Maintain senior-level relationships with strategic customers and key accounts in Singapore.
  • Support and sponsor key opportunities, negotiations, and customer engagements where required.
  • Ensure consistent application of key account management and customer segmentation approaches.
  • Oversee and support the development of project-related business, ensuring early project visibility and structured opportunity management.
  • Act as senior sponsor for selected strategic project accounts, where appropriate
  • Partner and work closely with Head of Marketing for market development and alignment.

Governance, Processes & Systems

  • Ensure effective deployment and usage of SAP/ CRM as the single source of truth for sales activities, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Establish and maintain clear sales processes, reporting cadence, and governance in line with company and ISO requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with Endress+Hauser policies, internal controls, and ethical standards.

Management Team Contribution

  • Actively contribute as a member of the Singapore Management Team (SMT).
  • Provide regular, transparent reporting on sales performance, risks, and opportunities.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support overall business performance and organizational effectiveness.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in sales and commercial roles within process automation, instrumentation, or related industries.
  • Experience in similar automaton or instrumental industries
  • Exposure in Multi-National Companies (MNCs)
  • Minimum 5~10 years in a people management or sales leadership role.
  • Proven track record in driving sales growth, managing teams, and executing commercial strategies.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong strategic and commercial acumen with the ability to translate strategy into execution.
  • Proven people leadership, coaching, and change management capability.
  • Strong customer orientation and relationship management skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to interpret sales and market data.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of CRM systems and MS Office.
