Software Engineering Manager***

This will be a 2-years direct contract position.

Responsibilities

• Define engineering vision, strategy, and directions.
• Produce long-term technical plan and roadmap and updating it regularly to meet future product/business needs and infrastructure requirements.
• Engage with engineers in conversations about their performance, professional growth, offering constructive feedback, mentoring, and guidance.
• Partner with stakeholders and agencies to prioritize and manage roadmaps for delivering product vision incrementally and efficiently.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to develop quality, reliability, and security strategies.
• Identify and initiate engineering initiatives.
• Introduce practices and tools to encourage a strong engineering culture and maximize engineering effectiveness and impact.
• Tracking engineering capabilities backed by facts ("show me the code").
• Defining and maturing key pillars such as Infrastructure-as-Code (creation, patching, remediation), CI/CD (build, test, deploy), and compliance posture (audits, VAPT, risk management).
• Leverage leading and lagging metrics such as lead time and deployment frequency to create accountability and drive measurable improvement.
• Support recruitment, particularly for more senior hires.

Responsibilities

Experience in

• Large, high-availability software systems that have operated at scale.
• Modern full-stack web application technologies; experience in modern front-end engineering like Next.js/React.js and Java/TypeScript on the backend.
• Coaching developers (minimum 2 years).
• Operating in an environment where engineering maturity is being built, not inherited
