RVP Sales

As a Regional Vice President (RVP) Sales, you are a key sales leader responsible for delivering sustainable revenue growth, building + leading a high-performing sales team as well as establishing Backbase as a strategic force in your market. You own your region like it’s your own business, balancing strategic oversight with hands-on leadership to drive quality outcomes for our customers, your team + the company.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Own the Region + Deliver Growth

    1. Take full ownership of your region’s performance - from pipeline generation to revenue realization.

    2. Drive predictable, high-quality growth by championing the Backbase sales operating model + focusing on well-qualified, high-value opportunities.

    3. Monitor pipeline health, forecast accuracy + deal progression to meet and exceed quarterly and annual targets.

  2. Build a Winning, Best-in-Class Team

    1. Recruit, coach + lead a world-class sales team that operates with excellence and urgency.

    2. Embed the Sales Operating Model into your team’s rhythm, underpinned by the Backbase Code; create a culture of accountability, feedback, continuous learning + high performance.

    3. Develop future leaders through structured coaching, candid feedback + clear progression paths.

  3. Drive Cross-Functional Collaboration

    1. Work as one team across Backbase, partnering with Marketing, Partner Sales, Customer Success, Solutions Engineering, Value Consulting, Legal + Services to deliver unified, customer-centric sales plays.

    2. Champion shared goals, streamline handoffs + foster collaboration to ensure the customer journey is seamless from first touch to long-term success.

  4. Be a Trusted Advisor to our Customers + Industry

    1. Establish yourself as a recognized expert and thought leader in your region — actively participating in industry events, roundtables, and forums.

    2. Build deep, trust-based relationships with C-level stakeholders across our ideal customer profile (ICP), positioning Backbase as a strategic partner.

    3. Stay close to market trends, customer needs, and competitor moves — bringing back insights that shape our strategy and offerings.

Qualifications

  • Proven sales leader with a strong track record of building, coaching + scaling high-performing enterprise sales teams.

  • Experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder B2B sales cycles in software or fintech environments.

  • Executive presence + the ability to build lasting relationships with senior stakeholders at financial institutions.

  • Deep understanding of go-to-market strategies, pipeline management, and sales forecasting.

  • Embodies the Backbase Code: customer-obsessed, action-oriented, radically candid, and committed to raising the bar.
