Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular workplace safety inspections and identify potential hazards.
  • Ensure compliance with the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act, regulations, and company safety policies.
  • Prepare and implement Risk Assessments (RA), Safe Work Procedures (SWP), and safety plans.
  • Conduct safety inductions, toolbox meetings, and safety training for workers and staff.
  • Investigate workplace accidents, incidents, and near-miss cases, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Monitor work activities to ensure safe work practices are followed at all times.
  • Coordinate emergency preparedness activities, including fire drills and evacuation exercises.
  • Maintain safety records, inspection reports, incident reports, and statutory documentation.
  • Advise management on safety improvements and measures to prevent workplace injuries and illnesses.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and government authorities on safety-related matters.
  • Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by all personnel on site.
  • Stop unsafe work practices and recommend immediate corrective actions when necessary.
  • Monitor environmental, health, and safety performance at the workplace.
  • Assist in safety audits and inspections conducted by clients or regulatory authorities.
  • Promote a positive safety culture and encourage worker participation in safety programs.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in construction or utilities
  • Valid WSH Officer recognized by MOM.
  • Strong knowledge of workplace safety practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Able to work 6 days per week and willing to be stationed on-site.
  • Good leadership, communication, and reporting skills.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
