Factorial, a Singapore based firm specializing in providing Technology Solutions is currently hiring Software and Applications Manager - Singapore Citizen/ PR with overall 8+ years of experience, of which 2~3 years in Life Insurance Domain.
Job Description:-
As Software and Applications Manager, you will require in-depth understanding of business processes and user requirements and ensure that the applications and products developed meet the requirements. You will direct end-to-end lifecycle of enterprise software, balancing business needs with IT capabilities. Analyze operational workflows, oversee system upgrades, and manage technical support and integration across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
As part of this dynamic role, you will work closely with the different business units and IT teams.
Requirements:-
- Over 8 years of experience in Software Application Management, Application Delivery, and IT project delivery in BFSI domain.
- Atleast 2+ years’ experience in Life Insurance Domain would be preferred
- Expertise in platform upgrades, cloud migration, production support, and change management.
- Track record of partnering with technology operations, compliance to deliver secure, resilient, and compliant solutions using Agile delivery frameworks.
- Manage technical implementations, collaborate with stakeholders, and deliver cutting-edge digital solutions while ensuring technical excellence and adherence to SDLC best practices.
- Strong experience managing enterprise applications release.
- Experience in Software/Product Development Life Cycle. SDLC.
- Understand business process and define business requirements in the form of use cases/user stories.
- Exposure to finance or actuarial concepts is advantageous.
- Certifications such as PMP, ITIL, Agile, or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) are highly valued.
- Experience of Release Planning, Process Modeling, Workflow Mapping etc
- Exposure as Gen AI Product Owner
- Analyze business operations to determine how specific software applications can improve efficiency. Direct cost-benefit analyses for new systems
- Manage budgets, timelines, and cross-functional teams to deploy updates, patches, and major releases
- Liaising and communicating with various stakeholders (application/tech teams, project team)
- Experience in End-to-End Application and Software Delivery will be beneficial
- Experience and familiarity with platforms : Confluence, JIRA, MS OfficeSuite
- Provide & share knowledge to other team members
Roles & Responsibilities:-
- Conceptualise & Design, mission-critical software applications, delivering high-availability and performance.
- Own end-to-end delivery responsibility for modules.
- Experience and affinity with Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, XP/eXtreme Programming)
- Understanding of environment management, release management, code versioning, engineering best practices, and deployment methodologies
- Managing Project initiatives
- business analysis activities including requirement elicitation, gap analysis, feasibility assessment and documentation
- Strong Business Analysis experience using Agile framework.
- Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies (Agile, Scrum), databases, and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure)
- Familiarity with IT service management (ITSM), ITIL, and ticketing tools like ServiceNow or Jira.
- Build Traceability matrix from Product Backlog and develop user stories for each Sprint.
- Prepare details project plan for application delivery.
- Manage the business requirements, application team and the users.
- Passion for agile, strong collaboration skills and ability to work across multiple and diverse clients, internal projects and teams.
- Ability to drive delivery of application development projects, within a supportive and innovative culture.
- Plan for SIT, UAT planning and execution, validating system behaviour and resolving defects.
