Business Development Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and commercially driven Business Development Manager to support the growth of our minimart business in Jurong. You will be responsible for driving sales, developing strategic partnerships, expanding product offerings, sourcing new suppliers and identifying opportunities to increase revenue while enhancing the overall customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

Business Growth & Sales

  • Develop and implement strategies to increase store revenue and profitability.
  • Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and sales channels.
  • Drive customer acquisition, retention, and loyalty initiatives.
  • Monitor sales performance and recommend improvements to achieve targets.
  • Introduce promotional campaigns, festive sales activities, and community engagement initiatives.

Supplier & Product Development

  • Source and negotiate with local and overseas suppliers for groceries, spices, snacks, beverages, pooja items, flowers, frozen foods, and household products.
  • Identify trending and high-demand products within the community
  • Manage supplier relationships and negotiate pricing, payment terms and promotional support.
  • Ensure optimal inventory mix and product availability.

Marketing & Community Engagement

  • Collaborate with the marketing team on social media campaigns, in-store promotions, and festive marketing activities.
  • Develop corporate and bulk sales opportunities.
  • Organise promotional events during festivals.

Operations & Commercial Management

  • Analyse sales reports, customer trends and market data to identify growth opportunities.
  • Monitor competitor activities, pricing and product offerings.
  • Work closely with store operations to improve customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
