CONSTRUCTION GENERAL FOREMAN

Key Responsibilities

• Supervision and Coordination:Lead and manage construction workers, tradespeople, and subcontractors on the job site.
• Project Oversight:Monitor site operations, interpret construction drawings and specifications, and ensure tasks are completed according to quality standards and project timelines.
• Safety Management:Implement and enforce all safety regulations and guidelines, conduct safety inspections, and maintain a safe and neat work environment.
• Material and Equipment Management:Oversee the delivery and inventory of tools, equipment, and materials needed for construction tasks.
• Communication:Serve as a point of contact between workers, supervisors, project managers, clients, and consultants to address technical issues and report progress.
• Problem Solving:Analyze and resolve work problems, technical issues, and discrepancies that arise on the site.
• Reporting:Prepare weekly and monthly reports on site progress, costs, and safety.

Requirements:

• Technical Knowledge:Deep understanding of construction procedures, best practices, equipment maintenance, safety regulations, and building codes.
• Blueprint Proficiency:The ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and blueprints.
• Leadership & Management:Strong skills in leading, motivating, and supervising a construction team.
• Communication:Excellent verbal and written communication skills to report progress, give instructions, and resolve conflicts among workers.
• Problem-Solving:The capacity to identify issues, make quick decisions, and solve routine technical and operational problems.
• Organization & Time Management:Superior organizational skills to manage schedules, allocate responsibilities, and keep track of resources, materials, and tasks.
• Safety Focus:A thorough knowledge of and commitment to enforcing safety guidelines and practices on the job site.
