Strategic Purchaser

Objectives of the position:

• Handle special product (SPP) enquiries for cable
• Vendor development and monitoring
• Pricing activity for cables
• Close cooperation with product cluster management, product development and sales organization

Key Responsibilities:

• Pricing for customized cable enquiries
• Handle suppliers for product development activities and liase with product development and approving authorities.
• Support quality in resolving technical complaints related to cables with suppliers.
• Development of suppliers across APAC (except China) for cables
• Coordination activity for price from suppliers including own affiliates.
• Close coordination with LAEMEA procurement for pricing from suppliers
• Close coordination with internal sales for pricing from suppliers and affiliates.
• Calculation of DP for purchase of material from suppliers by affilates and business partners as per the regional policy.
• Adhoc assignments as assigned by Manager.

Skills & Qualification:

• Degree in electrical/industrial engineering
• Preferably 3–5-year experience in sourcing of cables and vendor development
• Understanding of cable industry
• Experience in handling sales enquiries
• Customer-oriented thinking
• Product knowledge with respect to cable standards and construction
• Application knowledge of cables for key industries.
• Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office/Business Software
• Knowledge of SAP
• Basic knowledge of cost calculation required.
• Business fluent in English as a communication language
