Technical Operations Lead

Role Summary

We are looking for a Technical Operations Lead to oversee the company’s technical operations, internal IT systems, infrastructure reliability, and production support capabilities.

This role is responsible for ensuring that business and engineering teams have stable, secure, and efficient technical systems to support daily operations and product delivery. The successful candidate will work closely with engineering, operations, HR, and business teams to improve technical processes, strengthen system reliability, and support scalable company growth.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited for someone with strong technical operations experience, infrastructure knowledge, production troubleshooting capability, and the ability to lead technical team members across IT operations, site reliability, and platform support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead technical operations, including IT setup, systems administration, technical tools, access management, and operational support.

  • Set up and improve internal technology processes, documentation, SOPs, asset tracking, account provisioning, and vendor coordination.

  • Support office and engineering teams on IT infrastructure, software tools, cloud access, user permissions, security practices, and technical issue resolution.

  • Own production support practices, including monitoring, alerting, incident response, root cause analysis, and operational readiness.

  • Work with engineering teams to improve backend platform reliability, deployment processes, cloud infrastructure, observability, and system performance.

  • Drive DevOps and platform improvements, including CI/CD, infrastructure as code, automated deployment, logging, monitoring, and cloud resource governance.

  • Supervise Site Reliability Engineers and relevant technical operations or platform team members.

  • Establish standards for technical operations, release support, system reliability, change management, and cross-team collaboration.

  • Partner with engineering, product, operations, HR, and business teams to support company growth and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Relevant experience in technical operations, IT operations, infrastructure, DevOps, site reliability, backend engineering, or platform engineering.

  • Experience leading or supervising technical team members, engineers, IT operations, SREs, DevOps, or infrastructure-related roles.

  • Hands-on experience with IT setup, access management, technical tools, cloud platforms, internal systems, or operational process improvement.

  • Strong understanding of site reliability practices, including monitoring, alerting, incident management, root cause analysis, disaster recovery, and production readiness.

  • Experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS or GCP.

  • Experience with CI/CD, infrastructure as code, automated deployment, observability, centralized logging, or equivalent practices.

  • Knowledge of backend systems, microservices, caching, load balancing, database optimization, and high-availability architecture.

  • Familiarity with tools such as Terraform, Ansible, GitLab CI/CD, Prometheus, Grafana, Redis, MySQL, or equivalent technologies.

  • Experience with high-traffic online platforms, gaming, social platforms, advertising technology, real-time systems, AI/ML engineering, or recommendation systems will be advantageous.

  • Strong problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management, documentation, and team leadership skills.
