In House Legal Advisor

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Legal Advisor to support the legal, contractual, and regulatory requirements of our renovation and interior fit-out business. The ideal candidate will provide legal guidance on contracts, compliance matters, dispute resolution, and corporate legal affairs while minimizing business risks and ensuring adherence to applicable laws and regulations.

## Key Responsibilities

* Draft, review, negotiate, and manage contracts, agreements, tenders, purchase orders, subcontractor agreements, and vendor contracts.

* Provide legal advice on renovation, construction, interior fit-out, procurement, and commercial transactions.

* Ensure compliance with local laws, regulations, licensing requirements, and industry standards.

* Handle legal notices, claims, disputes, and litigation matters in coordination with external counsel when required.

* Advise management on legal risks and recommend practical business solutions.

* Review and update company policies, terms and conditions, and legal documentation.

* Support debt recovery, payment disputes, and contract enforcement matters.

* Monitor regulatory changes affecting the construction and renovation industry.

* Assist in corporate governance, company secretarial matters, and risk management initiatives.

* Represent the company in negotiations, mediations, and meetings with clients, vendors, and regulatory authorities when necessary.

## Qualifications & Requirements

* Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB) is mandatory.

* Preference will be given to candidates holding a double degree (e.g., Law with Business, Commerce, Finance, Engineering, Construction Management, or related disciplines).

* Minimum 5+ years of legal experience, preferably in construction, renovation, real estate, engineering, or related industries.

* Strong knowledge of contract law, commercial law, construction law, and dispute resolution.

* Excellent drafting, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

* Ability to balance legal compliance with commercial objectives.

* Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.

## Preferred Qualifications

* Double degree holder with Law as one of the qualifications.

* Experience advising construction, renovation, interior design, or project-based businesses.

* Familiarity with tender documentation, contractor agreements, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
