Job Title: Technology OperationsSpecialist II
Your background
Youbring expertise in supporting network infrastructure, with a strong focus onmanaging and resolving incidents that impact business operations. In this role,you will take the lead in triaging critical incidents, ensuring rapiddetection, response, and recovery. As the key focal point for networkstability, you will drive restoration efforts across teams—regardless of wherethe root cause originates.
Shift Pattern:
You will work one of two 12-hour rotating shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM SGT):
· Shift A: Sunday to Wednesday
· Shift B: Wednesday to Saturday
Note: AlternatingWednesdays are scheduled off depending on the assigned shift.
What you can expect
TheSpecialist is responsible for supporting and managing core networkingtechnologies, including routing, switching, business-to-business connectivity,and emerging solutions such as Software Defined Networking (SDN) not limited toSD-WAN, and network virtualization. Their expertise extends from large scaledata center networks to end-user networks including LTE and wirelessinfrastructure. The specialist must have deep knowledge of networkingprotocols, troubleshooting techniques, and both proactive and reactive supporttools, while ensuring all work complies with bank standards, policies,templates, and incident procedures.
This positioninvolves direct collaboration with internal teams—such as architecture andengineering, product management, business stakeholders and senior leaders—aswell as external vendors and providers. Hence effective communication andstrong problem-solving skills are a must. As a subject matter expert, he/she specialist is expected to stay up todate with evolving technologies and industry trends to drive end to end value.
RequiredSkills:
· Experience with Network technologies such as:
o Routing, Switching - LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, QoS, EIGRP, BGP, OSPF,Multicast, IPv4/v6, MPLS.
o Network Virtualization/ automation: Cisco ACI, Arista fabricNetwork (including cloudvision and VXLAN encapsulations) , Cisco DNAC/Catalystcenter, PRISMA, Palo Alto CloudGenix.
o WiFi Technologies – Aruba/CISCO wireless Controllers, AccessPoints, Management Platforms.
o VPN tunnel protocols – SSL/TLS, GRE, L2TP, ESP, IKEv2 IPSEC
· Experience with troubleshooting complex networking problems.
· Experienced in both proactive and reactive use of advanced networkmonitoring tools, including but not limited to: Netscout, Wireshark, Splunk,SevOne, HPNA, IBM Watson.
· Confident, Vocal, self-starter, organized and detail oriented.
· Strong technical acumen and analytical skills
· Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to workwith all levels of management and clients.
· Skilled at aligning actions with business impact and servicerestoration priorities
· Demonstrates ownership, accountable and can hold othersaccountable (professionally).
Desired Skills:
- Experience in Network design, implementation, or operations role.
· Experience working in greenfield, brownfield deployments, Lowlatency/high frequency trading environments.
· Worked with Network enclave deployments be it standalone or subdivided segmentation such as secure intranet.
· Experience with automation tools such as Python, Ansible and APIstructures.
· Experience working in an Agile environment.
· Experience of working within financial services (Insurance,Banking, Investment banking)
· Experience with other network technologies.
o Optical transport, DWDM, Firewall, Proxy, loadbalancing,DNS/IPAM, AAA NAC- dot1x/radius.
· Relevant and current Industry certifications in NetworkTechnologies
What you will do
· Provide operational support for end-to-end network infrastructure,spanning data center/DMZ to end user access environments.
· Technical areas of focus include but are not limited to end-userWAN, LAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, B2B, MPLS overlay, LTE Underlay.
· Identify service impacts by analyzing monitors, dashboards, logs,packet captures and all other relevant artifacts.
· Work with senior team members to validate impacts and communicateeffectively to internal stakeholders and leadership.
· Lead production support triage for network incidents, managingbridge lines, coordinating team efforts, troubleshooting, and escalating torespective leadership as necessary.
· Deliver accurate status updates and technical details forcommunication, ensuring timely follow-ups.
· Identify potential failure scenarios, risk & vulnerabilities,and improvement opportunities for operational excellence and efficiency.
· Document application flows, outage impacts, customer experiencesduring failures, and maintain updated support contacts and knowledge bases forglobal triage use.
· Ensure incident tickets are complete and accurate, documenting allimpacts thoroughly in the system.
· Perform ad-hoc reporting and investigations as directed by seniorteam members or leadership.
· Enforce production governance during triage, testing, andresolution efforts, exercising judgment within established procedures.
· Adhere to design standards and global design authority processes.
· Prepare professional documentation using templates, providingclear work descriptions, assumptions, and caveats.
· Participate and contribute to tabletop sessions to promote teamcollaboration and technical robustness.
· Execute disaster recovery plans for business continuity exercises.
