To nurture a pipeline of global and future ready logistics talents for the industry, The Logistics Academy, a wholly owned subsidiary training arm of SLA was incorporated in 2010 to provide human capital and skills development courses to empower and deepen the skills of the workforce for the logistics sector.
The Logistics Academy (TLA) is a Singapore-based educational and training institution focused on developing skills and professionalism in the logistics and supply chain sector. It was established in 2010 by the Singapore Logistics Association (SLA) as a wholly-owned subsidiary to support quality training, lifelong learning, and talent development for the logistics workforce in Singapore.
The Logistics Academy is dedicated to advancing logistics and supply chain competencies through relevant training, industry cooperation, and lifelong learning initiatives in Singapore.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The hire for the Skills Training & Development team will assist in the planning, execution, administration, mass and social media communication of the organization's training programs. This role is designed to support the development and delivery of learning initiatives that enhance the skills, knowledge, and performance of participants. This position will collaborate with the training team, coordinate training logistics, track performance metrics, provide administrative support, digital marketing, social media outreach and customer service excellence to ensure the success of the organisation's initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
(i) Training Program Delivery Support & Digital Social Media Marketing Outreach:
● Manage training programs and related activities and maintain training records in compliance with certifications.
● Identify and assess current and future training needs by maintaining a keen understanding of training trends, developments and best industry practices.
● Outreach to potential leads and convert them to participants/students through mass communication, social media tools and digital marketing creation.
● Manage general email and phone enquiries of TLA and disseminate to the relevant officers accordingly.
● Monitor and evaluate training budget and program's effectiveness.
● Handle training & other government grants.
(ii) Development & Continuous Improvement:
● Provide pre & post training administration, evaluation and feedback from trainees, examination administration as well as perform night duties whenever necessary.
● Support the various training focus committees and groups.
● Maintain a keen eye for continuous work improvement to work efficiency and effectiveness.
(iii) Administrative & Reporting Matters:
● Prepare regular reports on training progress, including participation rates, success metrics, and areas for improvement.
● Manage the lecturers in their training engagement.
● Perform other duties or new tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONSEducation:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant certifications such as ACLP and DDDLP would be a plus.
Experience:
- At least 1-2 years of experience in training and development, employee learning, or a related field.
- At least 1-2 years of mass and/or social media, digital marketing communication experience.
- Prior experience coordinating and planning of training programs and/or event management like workshop or seminar is highly preferred.
Skills:
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines, be meticulous on details.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) to engage with employees, trainers, and management effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) is a plus.
- Basic understanding of instructional design and training delivery methods.
