IT Infrastructure lead

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Lead to oversee the operations, maintenance, and continuous improvement of enterprise IT infrastructure in a mission-critical environment. This role combines technical leadership, operational management, and infrastructure architecture responsibilities, ensuring secure, reliable, and high-performing systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the infrastructure operations team, ensuring the availability, performance, and security of servers, networks, storage, and platform services.
• Plan and execute infrastructure upgrades, migrations, capacity expansion, patching, and maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with application, middleware, and engineering teams to support deployments, integrations, and production operations.
• Manage infrastructure incidents, root cause analysis, vendor escalations, and service restoration activities.
• Maintain infrastructure documentation, architecture diagrams, SOPs, and operational standards.
• Ensure compliance with security policies, governance requirements, disaster recovery, and business continuity procedures.
• Drive automation, monitoring, and operational excellence initiatives across the infrastructure landscape.
• Provide leadership, mentoring, and technical guidance to infrastructure engineers and support teams.

Requirements

• 7–10 years of experience in infrastructure engineering, operations, or platform support, preferably in government or regulated environments.
• Strong expertise in Windows/Linux servers, networking, storage, virtualization, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), and Kubernetes/Docker.
• Experience with monitoring and automation tools such as Grafana, Nagios, Ansible, Terraform, and ITIL-based operations.
• Proven leadership experience managing teams, vendors, and 24/7 operational environments.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure security, compliance, and operational risk management.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with middleware and platform technologies including Kafka, Solace, IBM MQ, Nginx, Apache HTTPD, MongoDB, and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and containerized application platforms.
• Experience supporting large-scale government, public sector, or mission-critical environments.
