WSH Coordinator

Job Responsibilities
Conduct daily workplace safety inspections and identify unsafe acts and unsafe conditions.
Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations, company safety requirements, and client safety procedures.
Review and monitor Risk Assessments (RA), Safe Work Procedures (SWP), and Permit-to-Work (PTW) implementation on site.
Conduct safety induction, toolbox meetings, and safety briefings for workers and subcontractors.
Monitor high-risk activities such as work at height, lifting operations, hot work, excavation works, and confined space entry.
Investigate accidents, incidents, dangerous occurrences, and near misses, and assist in implementing corrective and preventive actions.
Maintain safety records, inspection reports, training records, PTW records, and other WSH documentation.
Follow up on safety observations, non-conformities (NCR), and enforcement actions until closure.
Liaise with project management, supervisors, subcontractors, clients, and relevant authorities on WSH matters.
Promote a positive safety culture and ensure all workers comply with site safety rules and regulations.
Requirements
Registered Workplace Safety and Health Coordinator (WSHC) certificate.
Minimum 2 years of relevant construction/project site safety experience.
Familiar with WSH Act, WSH Regulations, and MOM requirements.
Knowledge of Risk Assessment (RA), Safe Work Procedures (SWP), and Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems.
Good communication and report writing skills.
Able to work independently and interact with workers, supervisors, and clients.
