Job Description

• Position Title: Machinist
• Working Location: Tuas
• Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm; Saturday 8am – 12pm
• Salary Package: Basic + Allowance + OT
• Duration: Permanent

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and set up conventional and CNC machines such as lathe, milling, drilling, and grinding machines.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
• Perform machining operations to produce metal components according to specifications and tolerances.
• Conduct measurements and inspections using precision measuring instruments such as vernier callipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Carry out machine adjustments, tool changes, and routine maintenance.
• Monitor machining processes and ensure product quality standards are met.
• Identify and report machining defects, equipment issues, or process improvements.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with workplace safety requirements.
• Assist with production activities and other duties assigned by the supervisor.

• NITEC, Higher NITEC, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Precision Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Experience operating CNC or conventional machining equipment is preferred.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and use measuring instruments.
• Basic knowledge of machining processes, tooling, and metal fabrication.
• Familiar with workplace safety procedures and manufacturing environments.
• Responsible, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Candidates without relevant experience may be considered for junior positions with training provided.
