Solutions Architect

We are looking for a Solutions Architect (P7) to serve as the technical backbone of Amap's overseas open platform business. This role bridges our product capabilities (Map APIs, SDKs, location services) and customer business scenarios — translating technology into value, enabling BD to close high-value deals, and empowering channel partners to deliver independently.

Job Responsibilities

• Customer Solution Design: Conduct in-depth discovery of overseas enterprise clients' business scenarios and technical architectures; design tailored solutions leveraging Amap's Map API/SDK capabilities (geocoding, routing, real-time tracking, geofencing, map rendering, POI search); deliver high-quality solution documentation including architecture diagrams, integration guides, and competitive comparisons.
• Industry Playbook & Standardization: Lead the creation of reusable, industry-specific solution playbooks for priority verticals (logistics, e-commerce, mobility/ride-hailing, travel OTA, IoT); abstract individual project learnings into scalable frameworks covering "scenario → product mix → integration path → ROI narrative."
• Pre-sales Technical Engagement: Own the full pre-sales technical cycle — requirement discussions, product demos, Proof of Concept (POC/PoV), and technical Q&A; for competitive win-back opportunities (migrating from Google Maps / HERE / Mapbox), develop migration blueprints, compatibility analyses, and TCO comparisons.
• Channel Enablement: Deliver systematic product training to channel partners; produce sales toolkits, demo assets, and industry playbooks that enable partners to independently qualify and close mid-market opportunities; establish technical support SOPs to progressively elevate partner self-delivery capability.
• Product Feedback Loop: Systematically capture customer requirements and competitive intelligence; deliver structured "requirement → priority → business value" analyses to product teams to influence roadmap; contribute technical content for industry events (webinars, whitepapers, conferences) to build Amap's solution mindshare in the overseas developer ecosystem.

Job Qualification

• Experience: 5+ years in ToB pre-sales, solutions architecture, or technical consulting; minimum 2 years involving overseas clients or cross-border products; proven ability to independently design and deliver mid-to-large scale project solutions end-to-end.
• Technical Depth: Strong understanding of map/location technology stack — positioning, map rendering, navigation, geocoding, POI search, route planning — at both API/SDK product level and underlying technical principles.
• Platform Familiarity: Hands-on experience with at least one major map platform (Google Maps Platform, HERE, Mapbox, Baidu Maps, or Tencent Maps); able to articulate product differences and customer migration pain points.
• Solution Presentation: Excellent ability to independently produce and deliver compelling solution proposals, architecture walkthroughs, and client-facing presentations to both technical (CTO/engineering leads) and non-technical (C-suite/product) audiences.
• Language: Proficient in English and Chinese (Mandarin) is required, as this role involves daily collaboration and architectural discussions with the R&D teams based in China.
• Education: Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, GIS, or related fields
