Role Summary and Impact
WPP Media is looking for a VP, Client Growth to lead strategic client development and growth across key regional clients. This is a senior client-facing role responsible for strengthening relationships with agency leadership, senior client stakeholders, and market teams to drive adoption of WPP Media’s programmatic, digital, data, technology, and AI-enabled media solutions.
The VP, Client Growth will play a critical role in identifying growth opportunities, shaping strategic proposals, supporting new business pitches, and ensuring WPP Media’s capabilities are clearly positioned to clients. The role requires strong commercial acumen, deep understanding of digital and programmatic media, and the ability to work collaboratively across markets, functions, and senior stakeholders.

- Work closely with senior agency client leaders, Managing Directors and CEOs to ensure WPP Media’s solutions are positioned and communicated effectively during new business pitches.
- Partner directly with clients to strategically expand their use of programmatic, digital, data, technology and AI-enabled media solutions, both in terms of revenue and regional footprint.
- Collaborate with WPP Media leaders across APAC markets to drive excellence in client development, strategic proposals and the adoption of new capabilities and products.
Measures of Success
In three months:
- Develop and drive relationships across the top 25 priority clients.
- Work closely with local market engagement teams to ensure local opportunities are amplified across APAC, while avoiding duplication of efforts.
- Partner with global colleagues to maximise regional and global client opportunities.
- Build strong knowledge of WPP Media’s platform capabilities, products, operations and analytics solutions by working closely with product, operations and analytics teams in Singapore.
In six months:
- Work with local market leaders and senior agency stakeholders to manage revenue growth from key clients.
- Consult with clients to ensure they are seeing value from WPP Media’s solutions across strategy, performance, savings and insights.
- Influence and support the achievement of sales targets across APAC markets, working closely with market sales teams on forecasting and client development.
- Establish a strong rhythm of client growth planning, opportunity tracking and senior stakeholder engagement across priority accounts.
Responsibilities of the Role
The VP, Client Growth is the face of WPP Media to some of our largest and most important clients. This is a customer-facing role that requires strategic thinking, exceptional relationship management skills and an entrepreneurial mindset.
The successful candidate will bring tenacity, commercial drive, market knowledge and credibility to strengthen client relationships and increase investment over time. This role will be critical in building the business, expanding client adoption of WPP Media’s capabilities, and driving sustainable growth across APAC.
Key responsibilities include:
- Act as the primary strategic client-facing lead for priority clients across APAC.
- Work closely with senior agency client leaders, Managing Directors and CEOs to ensure WPP Media’s solutions are positioned and communicated effectively during new business pitches.
- Partner with clients to strategically expand their use of programmatic, digital, data, technology and AI-enabled media solutions.
- Collaborate with WPP Media leaders across APAC markets to drive excellence in client development, strategic proposals and product adoption.
- Monitor and drive the achievement of revenue targets across local markets.
- Build trusted senior relationships with agency leadership, clients and internal stakeholders.
- Identify, qualify and convert growth opportunities across priority accounts.
- Work with product, operations, analytics and market teams to ensure client solutions are relevant, scalable and commercially effective.
- Support cross-market collaboration to ensure opportunities are maximised across APAC.
- Track quarterly revenue goals for priority clients and deliver against agreed personal objectives.
Skills and Experience
- 10+ years of experience in data-driven digital media, senior client leadership, media strategy, strategic business development or a related role.
- Proven track record in strategic planning, business development and senior stakeholder management.
- Strong understanding of the digital media and technology landscape, including the application of AI in media and marketing.
- Deep understanding of consultative sales, client growth and commercial opportunity development.
- Strong knowledge of marketing principles and agency planning methodologies.
- Strong technical understanding of programmatic media across both buy-side and supply-side environments.
- Experience working across multiple APAC markets or regional client structures.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a matrix environment and navigate complexity to drive results.
- Experience delivering cross-functional initiatives and maintaining team focus through roadblocks or competing priorities.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
- Creative approach to problem-solving, with the ability to balance detail with the broader strategic picture.
- Commercially driven, entrepreneurial and confident engaging senior stakeholders.
- Able to build trusted relationships across clients, agencies, product, operations, analytics and market teams.
