Senior Material Science Engineer

Key Responsibilities
- Simulation & Analysis: Utilize FEM Analysis and Structural Mapping to evaluate material
behaviors and improve performance, ensuring high precision and efficiency in our project
outcomes.
- Lead and conduct advanced materials research projects, driving them from conception to implementation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams (Optical, Software) to apply your material science innovations directly to our product development.
- Prepare detailed technical reports and present findings to stakeholders to guide engineering decisions.
- Mentor and guide junior scientists and team members in material science methodologies, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest advancements in materials science and integrate relevant technologies into our R&D processes.
Requirements
Education
- PhD or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Material Science, Applied Physics, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum 5+ years in Numerical Analysis and Finite Element Method (FEM).
Technical Expertise
- Deep proficiency in Multi-physics simulation (Vibration, Acoustics, and Structural Mechanics).
- Experience with Linear and Non-linear Dynamics, including Transient Analysis.
- Familiarity with ASME BPVC Section VIII (Design by Analysis) or API 579 (Fitness-for-Service) is a strong advantage.
- Software Skills: Advanced proficiency in ANSYS Mechanical, COMSOL Multiphysics, or Abaqus AND a strong interest or experience in open-source solvers (CalculiX, Code_Aster, or FEniCS).
Programming: Strong Python skills for data science and solver integration.
Problem Solving: Ability to correlate simulation results with experimental test data (Model Validation).
