Warehouse Storeman

Job Summary

The Warehouse Storeman is responsible for managing warehouse inventory, receiving and issuing materials, maintaining accurate stock records, and performing basic technical, maintenance, and repair tasks related to company equipment and assets. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to support both warehouse operations and technical field activities.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse & Inventory Management

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming goods against purchase orders and delivery documents.
  • Organize, store, and label inventory items in designated warehouse locations.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and stock movement transactions.
  • Issue materials, tools, and equipment to technicians and operational staff.
  • Conduct regular stock counts, cycle counts, and annual inventory audits.
  • Monitor stock levels and report shortages or replenishment requirements.
  • Ensure proper housekeeping, cleanliness, and safety standards within the warehouse.

Technical Duties

  • Assist in the maintenance, testing, and repair of equipment and systems.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and diagnostic work on equipment as assigned.
  • Prepare, inspect, and maintain tools, equipment, and spare parts for field operations.
  • Ensure equipment is serviced, and stored properly.
  • Record maintenance activities and technical service reports accurately.
  • Assist in equipment commissioning and operational testing when required.

Requirements

Experience

  • 1–3 years of experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, technical support, or equipment maintenance.
  • Fresh graduates with relevant technical training may also be considered.

Skills & Competencies

  • Knowledge of warehouse inventory management practices.
  • Basic electrical, mechanical, or technical troubleshooting skills.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to read technical manuals, drawings, and documentation.
  • Good organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to lift and handle materials safely.
  • Team player with good communication skills.
  • Valid driving license (preferred).

Working Conditions

  • Work is performed in both warehouse and field environments.
  • May require lifting, carrying, and moving inventory and equipment.
  • Occasional overtime, weekend work may be required depending on operational needs.

  • Inventory accuracy rate.
  • Timely receipt and issuance of materials.
  • Equipment maintenance completion rate.
  • Warehouse safety compliance.
  • Reduction in stock discrepancies and losses.
  • Service and maintenance response time.

Reporting To: Operations Manager / Warehouse Supervisor / Technical Manager (as applicable)
