Scrum Master - Banking/Wealth Management

We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master with Agile delivery experience in the Banking / Wealth Management domain to lead cross-functional squads, drive Agile maturity, and ensure successful delivery of digital and transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities:

Agile Delivery & Scrum Execution

• Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies: Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives
• Ensure effective sprint execution with focus on delivering business value
• Monitor squad performance using Agile metrics (velocity, burn-down, etc.)
• Ensure adherence to Scrum framework, practices, and governance
  

Team Coaching & Agile Maturity

• Coach teams on Agile principles, Scrum practices, and continuous improvement
• Enable self-organizing, high-performing teams
• Drive Agile adoption across stakeholders and cross-functional teams
• Guide teams to improve delivery predictability, quality, and efficiency

Impediment& Risk Management

• Identify, track, and resolve blockers impacting sprint execution
• Escalate risks and issues proactively to stakeholders
• Shield team from external disruptions and scope creep

Stakeholder Collaboration (Banking Domain)

• Collaborate with: Product Owners, Business Stakeholders, Compliance teams, IT teams
• Ensure alignment between business priorities and technical delivery
• Drive stakeholder engagement across global teams and regulatory functions
• Facilitate communication between operations, technology, and business units

Product Backlog & Release Support

• Support Product Owner in backlog refinement and prioritization
• Ensure user stories are well-defined and ready for development
• Coordinate release planning and go-live activities
• Ensure quality assurance and acceptance criteria are met

Governance, Reporting & Metrics

• Provide regular updates on sprint progress, risks, and delivery timelines
• Maintain transparency using Agile tools (JIRA, boards, metrics dashboards)
• Track key KPIs: delivery timelines, sprint predictability, defect leakage, etc.

Domain-Specific (Banking / Wealth Management)

• Strong understanding of: Wealth Management platforms (portfolio mgmt, advisory, trade lifecycle)
• Regulatory and compliance frameworks
• Digital banking and client servicing platforms
• Experience working in highly regulated environments with strict controls.

Skills Requirement:

• Bachelors degree in Information Technology/Computer Science/Engineering
• 7-9 years of experience in Agile/Scrum delivery roles
• 4-5 years as a Scrum Master in Banking / Financial Services / Wealth Management
• Certifications: CSM / PSM / SAFe Scrum Master (preferred)
• Hands-on experience with tools: JIRA, Confluence, Agile dashboards
• Strong exposure to distributed/global team environments
