Job Description
- Formulate, implement, and promote compliance with project policies and procedures, including health, safety, and environmental requirements
- Review and ensure project-specific management systems and documentation are properly implemented
- Set clear objectives and targets for key project processes, ensuring consistency with strategic goals
- Ensure that the project is constructed in compliance with the specification and drawings to minimise any rework during both the construction and defectliability periods
- Assign responsibilities to project team members and ensure effective coordination of site activities
- Support manpower planning and ensure deployment of competent personnel in line with project requirements
- Monitor progress against the overall project program
- Identify and address potential problems that could affect the project deadlines
- Review and manage monthly costs, identifying areas of cost overruns and implementing the necessary control to keep within budget
- Manage the project to ensure the project targets are achieved, within the giventimeline, quality standards, and project objectives
- Implement project monitoring system to examine the overall performance of the project in relation to time, costs, quality, safety,and environmental performance
- Implement planning strategies, and audits/reviews for the project
- Review and recommend the appointment of suppliers and subcontractors
- Coordinate PTW system and ensure compliance with site safety procedures
- Review, sign, allocate follow-up action for outgoing and incoming correspondence
- Review and approve material requisition forms submitted by engineers
- Ensure there are monitoring and reporting processes are set-up and implemented
- Interface with project team, partners, clients, stakeholders, consultants, designers, vendors, subcontractors for management of the planning function in accordancewith establish procedures
- Review, comment, and support all document submissions and correspondence to client, regulatory and government bodies/agencies
- Supervise employees engaged in planning and control activities, maintaining functional control over all on-site planning/scheduling staff
- Provide guidance and identify training needs for subordinates and colleagues involved in project planning, programming systems, and project monitoring and needs
- Evaluate, review, and appraise on the performance of the employees
Job Requirement:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in large-scale infrastructure works, or projects of similar scale, complexity, and nature.
- Familiar with safety procedures and requirements at construction sites.
- Strong knowledge and experience in the construction industry.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with multiple parties.
- 6 days work week.
