The Opportunity
We're looking for a Process Engineer to lead the startup, validation, and stabilisation of a catheter production line — driving it from qualification through to full-rate production at target output, quality, and OEE. This is a hands-on, shopfloor-first role (70–80% floor presence) for an engineer who thrives on solving real problems in real time.
What You'll Do
- Line Startup — Execute startup plans, support line qualification, and provide hands-on shopfloor support during ramp-up
- Validation & Process Control — Support OQ/PQ, set process parameters, and ensure Cp/Cpk targets are met
- Ramp-Up & OEE — Drive capacity ramp-up, monitor OEE, and eliminate losses and bottlenecks
- Troubleshooting & RCA — Lead root cause analysis (Pareto, Fishbone, 5 Why) for downtime and defects
- Documentation — Develop SOPs, control plans, and ensure GMP/ISO compliance
- Collaboration — Partner with Production, QA, and Engineering; train operators
- Continuous Improvement — Drive Kaizen, yield, cycle time, and waste reduction initiatives
KPIs You'll Own
Startup adherence · Yield / defect rate · Downtime reduction · OQ/PQ completion · Cp/Cpk
What You'll Bring
- Degree in Engineering
- 3–7 years' relevant experience in startup, validation, or automation environments
- Proficiency in SPC, OEE, DOE, Lean, and basic PLC knowledge
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and a hands-on approach
- Willingness to own line performance and stabilisation end-to-end
