Global Sourcing Director

Job Summary

The Senior Director, Global Sourcing – Asia leads and executes sourcing strategies across Asia for dental and medical products. This role manages regional sourcing operations, supplier relationships, and cross-functional collaboration to drive cost optimization, supply continuity, compliance, and business growth in Asia-Pacific.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement short- and long-term sourcing strategies aligned with business goals to achieve sales, profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction targets
• Lead and manage sourcing teams across Asia to execute projects effectively, optimize supplier costs, and enhance sourcing capabilities supporting business growth
• Build and maintain collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure operational excellence
• Ensure sourcing activities and supplier engagements comply with relevant regulations, company policies, and supplier code of conduct
• Drive supplier compliance and responsible sourcing initiatives to support Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) objectives
• Lead strategic sourcing initiatives including supplier consolidation, procurement transformation, and supply chain optimization across Asia
• Support business expansion, partnerships, acquisitions, and organizational transformation through effective sourcing and supplier management strategies
• Develop and execute tariff mitigation and supplier diversification strategies, including supplier negotiations and identifying alternative sourcing locations within Asia
• Act as the primary sourcing partner for regional commercial teams, providing procurement support to facilitate business growth and market expansion in Asia-Pacific

Job Scope:

Responsible to lead team based in Asia to manage portfolio of more than 10,000 products, sourced from more than 100 suppliers within the entire APAC and East Asia regions. The portfolio includes private brand products those are essential to the business teams in the markets to meet critical financial and strategic objectives. Has direct accountability of over $200M of Asia based spend.

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or global equivalent in a related discipline
• Typically 10 or more years of progressively responsible experience in sourcing or procurement
• Minimum 10 years of sourcing, purchasing, supply chain, or product management experience in medical, dental, or consumer products
• Demonstrated skills in negotiation, vendor management, supply chain efficiency, project management, and understanding of product regulatory requirements
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
• Willingness to travel up to 20–30% of the time, including international travel
