Overview

As part of FCBC's Corporate Communications team, the Social Media Lead plays a key role in shaping and growing FCBC's digital presence across social media platforms for both local and overseas audiences.

This role is responsible for developing and executing social media strategies that inspire faith, strengthen community engagement, and mobilise people towards FCBC's vision and church-wide initiatives, ensuring FCBC's message is communicated with clarity and impact.

Through storytelling and meaningful content, the Social Media Lead provides a glimpse into church life, amplifies God’s word, and helps connect people to the vision and what the church is focused on in the season. The role requires strong content creation capabilities, an understanding of social media platforms, trends, and analytics, and the ability to collaborate effectively across ministries, volunteers, and various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Social Media Strategy & Content Creation

  • Develop and implement integrated social media strategies and content plans that communicate FCBC's vision, priorities, events, and God’s word for the season.
  • Build engagement and identify opportunities to create meaningful and quality content that inspires spiritual growth and encourages participation in church initiatives including reels, graphics for carousels, stories, and written posts.
  • Capture stories of life transformation, ministry impact, testimonies, missions, community outreach, and church life.
  • Ensure all content is culturally relevant, accurate, and aligned with FCBC's vision, values, voice, and communication standards.
  • Work closely with ministries and stakeholders to translate ministry objectives into compelling digital content.
  • Support real-time event coverage and timely content production during services, conferences, and key church initiatives.

Performance Tracking & Content Optimisation

  • Track, analyse, and report on content and platform performance using relevant analytics tools to measure effectiveness of content.
  • Generate actionable insights and recommendations to optimise content effectiveness and audience engagement.

Volunteer Management

  • Recruit, train, and manage social media volunteers in content ideation and creation that is aligned to FCBC’s vision, values, voice and communication standards.
  • Coordinate volunteer schedules and event coverage requirements.

Audience Engagement

  • Monitor and respond to comments, direct messages, feedback, and enquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Encourage digital audiences to take meaningful next steps, such as exploring faith, attending services, joining cell groups, volunteering, and participating in events.

Administrative Support

  • Support reporting, documentation, coordination, and any other duties as assigned

Requirements & Preferred Skills

  • Experience in social media management, digital marketing, communications, or related fields
  • Strong storytelling and content creation skills, with the ability to communicate ideas creatively and effectively.
  • Experience in covering live events and producing timely, engaging content.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Have an understanding of social media platforms, emerging features, and evolving platform algorithms, with the ability to adapt strategies and optimise content accordingly.
  • Proficiency in Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, or equivalent content creation tools.
  • Ability to interpret analytics and translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Good project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality and accuracy.
  • Resourceful, proactive, adaptable, and a collaborative team player

Work days are from Tuesday to Saturday.
