ENGINEER

Job Description:

• Resolve all the technical or engineering issues related to that arise during the course of construction;
• Direct daily overall works activities, answer questions about technical aspects and guide workers throughout the construction process
• Attend all necessary project meeting to ensure projects are executed in a smooth and effective manner;
• Handle complaints, settle disputes, and resolve grievances and conflicts, or otherwise negotiating with others;
• Evaluating tenders received for construction works;
• Data collection (e.g Schedule, job progress, costing sheet etc) to correctly evaluate project performance
• Handle project documentation, material requisition, and cost control;
• Check and analyse drawings, authority requirements and tender specifications
• Check site installation whether it is in accordance to design and standards
• Check and prepare for discrepancies of drawings to be highlighted to consultant
• Oversee the projects and follow the terms and conditions of contracts. Ensure compliance to contracts and the drawings with regulatory specifications
• Able to coordinate with owners, architects, consultants, project managers, sub-contractors and suppliers.
  
  
  Requirements:

• At least 2 years of relevant working experiences that possess Degree in Construction, Civil Engineering and M&E or equivalent
• Knowledgeable in basic Autocad software
• Has positive attitude and sense of responsibilities
• Willing to travel island wide for multiple projects as per assigned and working location will vary after project completion
• Detail oriented and excellent organization skills
• Able to commit standby after office hour as well as during weekends / PH to attend to any emergency calls
• Have a sense of urgency and confidence to thrive under pressure from various sides of internal parties and also external parties due to time constraints of certain projects /within tight deadlines
• 6 days per week
• Construction site working environment without air-conditioner
