Job Summary
The role of Facilities Manager will be responsible for ensuring the day-to-day maintenance, functionality, and operational readiness of all club facilities. This role oversees maintenance programmes, vendor coordination, procurement of facilities-related requirements, and the upkeep of physical assets to ensure a safe, comfortable, and high-quality environment for members, guests, and staff. The successful candidate will work closely with the General Manager and external service providers to maintain club standards while supporting cost-effective facilities operations.
Responsibilities
Facilities Operations & Maintenance
- Oversee daily maintenance and operational readiness of all club facilities and common areas to ensure seamless functionality
- Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance for facility systems, equipment, furniture, fixtures, and assets to minimize downtime
- Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with operational standards
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of maintenance schedules, service reports, and asset inventories for effective asset management
Vendor Management
- Coordinate and supervise external contractors, service providers, and maintenance vendors to ensure timely and quality service delivery
- Ensure all maintenance works comply with safety standards and agreed service levels to protect staff and members
- Obtain quotations, evaluate vendor proposals, and recommend cost-effective solutions for repairs and maintenance requirements
Procurement
- Manage procurement of facilities-related supplies, equipment, furniture, and maintenance services to support operational needs
- Support sourcing, price negotiations, and purchasing activities to ensure value and quality in acquisitions
- Track asset replacements, repairs, and lifecycle management to sustain long-term operational efficiency
Operational Support
- Provide facilities support for club activities, private events, and operational requirements to ensure smooth event execution
- Collaborate with various departments to address facility-related requests and operational needs promptly
- Support after-hours maintenance coordination when required to maintain continuous facility operations
Required competencies and certifications
- Diploma or Degree in Facilities Management, Building Services, Engineering, Hospitality Operations, or a related field
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in facilities management, building operations, hospitality, or a related environment
- Good organizational and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail to handle multiple priorities effectively
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Experience coordinating facilities support for events, functions, or entertainment venues to enhance event delivery
- Willingness to learn and develop knowledge in AV, sound, lighting, and IT-related operational support to expand skill set
