Job Summary

Kaneko Optical is a luxury eyewear brand from Japan, delivering heartful service with a straightforward work style. Learn to develop expert adjustment and refraction skills whilst supporting daily retail operations in a brand-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Apply advanced frame adjustment techniques such as polishing and integrating fixed nosepads to maintain high-quality eyewear standards
• Continuously improve refraction skills through ongoing training
• Manage daily retail operations eg. stock inventory control, maintaining store cleanliness
• Deliver consistent, brand-focused customer service and support business growth
• Uphold Kaneko Optical’s brand values by focusing exclusively on one lens brand and handcrafted frames without commission-based sales pressure

Required competencies and certifications

• Pre/Full-Registered optician (D+R) with the Opticians Board (OOB)

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Strong teamwork skills to contribute positively to a collaborative retail environment

Other Information

• Location: Ngee Ann City
• Working Hours: 9 hours per day (excluding 1-hour undisturbed break)
• Leave: 8 days off per month; 10 annual leave days (increasing by 1 per year, capped at 14)
• Salary: $2500 to $4000
