Job Summary

The Manufacturing Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations, production planning, manpower coordination, quality control, process improvement, and operational efficiency. The role ensures that production activities are carried out safely, efficiently, on time, and in accordance with company standards, client requirements, and regulatory guidelines.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee daily manufacturing operations to ensure smooth production workflow and timely completion of work.

• Plan, organise, and monitor production schedules to meet customer orders, delivery timelines, and operational targets.

• Supervise production staff, assign duties, monitor work performance, and ensure proper manpower deployment.

• Coordinate with production, warehouse, quality assurance, procurement, and management teams to support operational efficiency.

• Ensure materials, equipment, tools, and manpower are available for production activities.

• Monitor production output, quality standards, wastage, downtime, and overall operational performance.

• Implement and maintain standard operating procedures, production guidelines, and workplace safety practices.

• Conduct regular checks on production processes to identify operational issues, delays, defects, or areas for improvement.

• Work closely with the quality assurance team to ensure finished products meet approved specifications and customer requirements.

• Handle production-related issues, staff concerns, customer requirements, and operational challenges professionally.

• Review production reports, inventory records, work schedules, and operational documents for accuracy and compliance.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, reduce costs, minimise wastage, and increase efficiency.

• Ensure proper maintenance and safe usage of machinery, tools, equipment, and production facilities.

• Train and guide staff on production procedures, safety requirements, quality standards, and proper work practices.

• Liaise with suppliers, clients, and internal departments regarding production requirements, delivery schedules, and operational matters.

• Ensure all manufacturing activities comply with company policies, workplace safety regulations, hygiene standards, and operational requirements.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business Management, or related field.

• Relevant experience in manufacturing operations, production management, factory operations, warehouse operations, or process improvement.

• Good knowledge of production planning, manpower management, quality control, workplace safety, and operational procedures.

• Strong leadership, problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.

• Able to manage production staff, monitor daily operations, and meet production targets.

• Able to work independently and handle operational issues in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Knowledge of ISO standards, quality systems, workplace safety, or audit procedures will be an advantage.
