Job Summary
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing client relationships, supporting sales growth, and coordinating business strategies to improve the company’s market presence and revenue. The role involves handling client communication, market research, business proposals, sales planning, and coordination with internal teams to achieve company objectives.
Roles & Responsibilities
Identify and develop new business opportunities to support company growth and revenue targets.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, business partners, and key stakeholders.
Conduct market research to identify potential customers, business trends, competitor activities, and new market opportunities.
Prepare business proposals, quotations, presentations, and service offers for potential clients.
Follow up with leads, enquiries, and prospective clients to convert opportunities into confirmed business.
Develop and implement business development strategies to increase sales, expand market reach, and improve customer retention.
Coordinate with internal departments to ensure smooth service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Negotiate business terms, pricing, contracts, and service arrangements with clients and partners.
Monitor sales performance, prepare reports, and provide updates to management on business development activities.
Maintain accurate records of client communications, sales activities, proposals, and business agreements.
Support marketing and promotional activities to improve brand awareness and attract new customers.
Handle customer feedback, service issues, and business enquiries in a professional manner.
Analyse business performance and recommend improvements to increase efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
Ensure all business development activities comply with company policies and professional standards.
Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Business Management, Marketing, Sales, International Business, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in business development, sales, marketing, client servicing, or operations management.
Good knowledge of sales planning, market research, client relationship management, and business negotiation.
Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Able to work independently and manage multiple client accounts and business opportunities.
Good problem-solving skills and ability to coordinate effectively with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
Able to prepare reports, proposals, quotations, and business documents professionally.
