PROCUREMENT MANAGER
R.S. UNIVERSAL DESIGNING & TAILORING PTE. LTD.
A strategic role responsible for overseeing end-to-end purchasing, managing supplier relationships, and driving cost-optimization initiatives
Key Responsibilities
- Sourcing & Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and qualify vendors. Build strong partnerships and conduct regular vendor performance evaluations.
- Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations for pricing, delivery terms, and service-level agreements (SLAs). Collaborate with legal and finance stakeholders to finalize contracts.
- Cost Optimization: Develop and implement strategic procurement plans designed to deliver targeted savings, reduce expenses, and meet financial targets.
- Risk & Compliance: Monitor market trends, assess supply chain risks, and ensure compliance with internal corporate governance and local/regional regulations.
- Data & Analytics: Track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and prepare periodic procurement reports to support management decision-making
Core Duties and Responsibilities
- Strategic Sourcing: Develop procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals. Identify and evaluate reliable suppliers and vendors, locally and globally.
- Contract Negotiation & Management: Lead tendering processes (RFI/RFP), compare proposals, and negotiate advantageous pricing, delivery, and payment terms.
- Budget & Cost Control: Manage departmental budgets, track market trends, and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality or operational needs.
- Vendor Performance: Monitor and conduct regular supplier evaluations to guarantee service reliability and adherence to technical specifications.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure that purchasing activities comply with company policies, local legal frameworks, and regulatory requirements. Mitigate supply chain and contract risks.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Finance, Legal, Operations, and Engineering teams to support project execution.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with organisational goals
- Manage the procurement process from requisition to purchase order, ensuring compliance with policies
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favourable terms and pricing
- Monitor supplier performance and conduct regular evaluations to ensure quality and reliability
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify procurement needs and develop specifications
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and prepare reports for management
- Stay updated on market trends and changes in the procurement landscape
- Lead and mentor procurement staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
