Midnight Shift Logistics Manager

Logistics Manager oversees complex, high-volume logistics operations across multiple warehouses and transport networks. This role requires expert-level coordination of stock deliveries to customers, strict inventory control, and end-to-end transportation management. The position demands exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to operate under intense pressure, especially during peak periods.
A valid driving license is mandatory, and the role requires availability for midnight shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Logistics Planning
• Develop multi-site logistics strategies that support high growth and operational efficiency.
• Prepare contingency plans for peak seasons, emergency shipments, and system disruptions.
• Lead route optimization, delivery forecasting, and cost-saving initiatives.
2. Complex Inventory & Stock Control
• Oversee thousands of SKUs and maintain precise stock accuracy.
• Implement predictive analytics to avoid shortages and overstocking.
• Conduct audits, cycle counts, and warehouse performance assessments.
3. Customer Order Fulfillment & Stock Delivery
• Ensure flawless execution of customer deliveries, including urgent and high-priority shipments.
• Manage the picking, packing, and dispatching of stock with zero tolerance for errors.
• Respond rapidly to customer escalations during midnight shifts or peak periods.
4. Transportation & Fleet Management
• Coordinate domestic and international freight operations.
• Supervise drivers, review transport logs, and enforce vehicle safety standards.
• Perform route assessments and support critical deliveries when required (driving licence essential).
5. Shift-Based Operational Leadership
• Lead warehouse and logistics teams across midnight shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Provide hands-on support during staffing shortages or high-pressure operations.
• Monitor real-time logistics activities and troubleshoot during off-peak hours.
6. Continuous Improvement & Automation
• Implement Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen practices to enhance workflow efficiency.
• Integrate automation tools such as scanners, RFID systems, and WMS/ERP updates.
• Reduce errors, improve speed, and strengthen overall supply chain reliability.
7. Compliance, Safety & Reporting
• Ensure compliance with customs rules, HSE regulations, and shipping standards.
• Conduct investigations and corrective actions for incidents or delays.
• Produce comprehensive reports on logistics KPIs, shift performance, and cost metrics.

Required Skills & Qualifications
• 5–10+ years in advanced logistics or supply chain leadership.
• Strong knowledge of inventory systems, transportation networks, and global shipping.
• Excellent leadership skills, especially in high-pressure or overnight operations.
• Strong analytical skills with WMS/ERP experience.
• Valid and clean driving license (mandatory).
• Must be able to work midnight shifts, weekends, and public holidays without restrictions.
• Ability to travel between locations and support urgent operational tasks.
