OPERATION MANAGER

KeyResponsibilities
- Oversee and manage daily operations across multiple construction and engineering projects.
- Lead and supervise Project Managers, Site Supervisors, Coordinators, and operational personnel.
- Manage and optimize deployment of manpower, equipment, vehicles, and resources across project sites.
- Monitor project progress, productivity, quality standards, and project schedules to ensure timely completion.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, main contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain strong business relationships.
- Facilitate effective communication and information exchange between clients and internal project teams.
- Analyse operational and risk management data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Assess and implement workflow enhancements to improve efficiency and operational performance.
- Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations, company policies, and statutory requirements.
- Monitor and manage operational risks, safety performance, and corrective actions.
- Resolve project-related issues, operational challenges, and client concerns in a timely manner.
- Review manpower utilization, operational costs, and project performance to achieve business objectives.
- Oversee staff training, development, performance management, and succession planning.
- Prepare operational reports and provide recommendations to senior management.
- Support business development initiatives and contribute to company growth strategies.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Building, Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in the construction or engineering industry.
- Minimum 5 years of managerial experience overseeing multiple projects and large-scale operations.
- Proven experience managing a workforce of more than 50 employees.
- Strong knowledge of Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) requirements and construction industry regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong planning, organizational, and resource management abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel applications.
