Air-con Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Air-Conditioning and Refrigerating Equipment Installer to install, replace, test, and commission residential and commercial air-conditioning systems, ensuring quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Install, replace, and commission split-type, multi-split, cassette, ducted, and VRV/VRF air-conditioning systems to meet project specifications
• Perform copper piping, insulation, drainage piping, trunking, wiring, and outdoor unit installations according to technical requirements
• Conduct vacuuming, refrigerant charging, and system testing to verify system functionality and safety
• Read and interpret technical drawings, floor plans, and installation layouts to guide installation processes
• Ensure all installations comply with company standards, safety regulations, and manufacturer requirements
• Troubleshoot and resolve installation-related issues promptly to maintain system performance
• Handle installation materials, tools, and equipment safely to prevent accidents and damage
• Communicate professionally with customers on-site to provide updates and address concerns
• Maintain cleanliness and proper housekeeping at work sites to ensure a safe and organized environment
• Complete installation reports and documentation accurately for project records
• Support servicing, maintenance, and repair works as needed to extend system lifespan

Required competencies and certifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in air-conditioning installation
• Familiarity with residential and commercial air-conditioning systems
• Knowledge of copper piping, insulation, drainage systems, and electrical wiring
• Physically fit and able to work at heights and in outdoor environments
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• Demonstrated problem-solving and troubleshooting skills related to air-conditioning systems

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Experience with Mitsubishi Electric, Daikin, Panasonic, MHI, LG, Fujitsu, or Midea air-conditioning systems
• Experience working on HDB, Condominium, Landed Property, and Commercial projects
• Possession of Class 3 Driving Licence (advantageous)
• WSQ Workplace Safety and Health certification (advantageous)
• Refrigerant Handling Certification (advantageous)

Other Information

• Work schedule: Monday to Saturday, 9:30am to 6:30pm, 6-day workweek with 6 days off per month (irregular)
• Overtime on public holidays and Sundays calculated per MOM method; 6:30pm to 7:30pm equals 1 hour overtime
• Dinner provided during overtime hours
• Responsible for air conditioning repair, installation, and maintenance
• Electric job experience is beneficial
