Process Engineer (Rotating Shift)

Job Description:

· Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing or operational processesto improve yield, quality, cycle time, and cost.

· Analyze process performance using data, statistical tools, and root causeanalysis techniques.

· Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve process issues, deviations, andbottlenecks.

· Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean, SixSigma, Kaizen).

· Select and qualify diamond tools based on material properties (ZnSe, Ge,Si, metals, polymers), and optimize feeds, speeds, and coolant usage tominimize tool wear.

· Establish and maintain process documentation, including SOPs, workinstructions, control plans, and process flow diagrams.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Production, Quality,Maintenance, R&D, and Supply Chain, ensuring processes comply with safety,quality, and regulatory requirements.

· Support cost reduction and productivity improvement projects.

· Apply materials science knowledge to select tooling, manage materialbehavior, and ensure surface quality meets AS9100D standards.

Job Requirements:

· Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering; candidates with relevantexperience may also be considered.

· Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a technical, engineering, ormanufacturing environment, ideally within a high-volume optics manufacturingenvironment.

· Candidates with more than 4 years of experience may be considered for aSenior role.

· Hands-on experience in single-point diamond turning of optics orprecision components will be an advantage.

· Experience in high-volume optics manufacturing is preferred.

· Familiarity with implementing and maintaining process control measuresand quality assurance systems.

· Practical knowledge of root cause analysis, 8D problem-solving, andDesign of Experiments (DOE).

· Experience working in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and AS9100 environments.

· Strong materials science background, including knowledge of opticalmaterials (ZnS, ZnSe, Ge, Si), tool wear mechanisms, and surface integrity.

· Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvementmethodologies is preferred.

· Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and trainproduction staff.

· Willingness to work shifts as required.
