Job Description

Routine Maintenance

• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on elevators according to the established schedules
• Identify and rectify issues promptly to minimise downtime and enhance the longevity of equipment.

Emergency Repairs

• Respond promptly to emergency repair calls and address issues efficiently to restore elevator functionality
• Collaborate with team to troubleshoot and diagnose complex problems

Compliance and Safety

• Stay abreast of industry regulations, safety standards and building codes
• Ensure that all maintenance activities adhere to safety protocols and comply with relevant standards

Technical Expertise

• Stay informed about advancements in elevator technology and apply knowledge to enhance system performance

Documentation

• Maintain accurate and detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections and repairs.
• Generate comprehensive reports for management and clients, detailing work performed and recommendations

Customer Service

• Provide excellent customer service by addressing customers' concerns professionally.
• Communicate maintenance schedules and updates to customers in a clear and timely manner

Team Collaboration

• Work closely with the maintenance team to coordinate activities and ensure efficient use of resources
• Provide support and guidance to junior maintenance staff

Continuous Improvement

• Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices
• Contribute to the development and implementation of training programs for maintenance staff

Job Requirements

• Possess strong understanding of elevator systems, controls, and associated technologies
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Proficient in using maintenance tools and equipment
• Knowledge of Code of Practice for Installation, Operation and Maintenance of Electric Passenger and Goods Lifts (e.g. SS550:XXXX)
• Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols
• Ability to use Microsoft Office is a must
• Technical certifications related to elevator maintenance is a plus
