Afterschool Care Teacher and Preschool Assistant

We are looking for a caring and responsible individual to join our team — supporting our preschool classrooms in the morning and supervising children during afterschool care hours in the afternoon.

Key Responsibilities:

Preschool Assistant (Morning)

• Assist the lead teacher in conducting daily lessons and classroom activities
• Help prepare teaching materials and set up learning stations
• Support children with daily routines such as meal times, toileting, and transitions between activities
• Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, ensuring their safety at all times
• Provide individual attention to children who need extra support
• Help maintain a clean, organised, and stimulating classroom environment

Afterschool Care Teacher (Afternoon)

• Supervise children during afterschool hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
• Assist with homework and provide academic guidance appropriate to each child's level
• Plan and conduct engaging activities (arts & crafts, games, storytelling, outdoor play)
• Prepare and serve snacks, ensuring proper hygiene and dietary considerations
• Communicate with parents during pick-up, providing updates on the child's day
• Manage children's behaviour positively and enforce centre rules

General

• Work with the team to support each child's development needs
• Handle basic administrative duties such as attendance and incident reporting
• Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming environment

Requirements:

• Minimum GCE 'O' Level or equivalent
• Able to assist Primary School children with homework
• Experience working with children (preferably ages 2–12)
• Patient, energetic, and genuinely enjoys working with kids
• Good communication skills
• Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
