About the Role
Perfect Steel Pte Ltd is seeking an Industrial Mechanic (Electrical) to maintain critical production equipment in our steel manufacturing operations. This is a hands-on maintenance role centred on mechanical and electro-hydraulic systems, with the electrical competency to troubleshoot and repair faults safely. The role suits a maintenance technician who can work independently, with day-to-day electrical work carried out under the supervision of the company's Licensed Electrical Worker (LEW) where required by regulation.

Key Responsibilities
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and electro-hydraulic systems.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical panels, motors, sensors, control circuits, and production machinery.
Carry out hydraulic and electro-hydraulic maintenance — pumps, valves, actuators, cylinders, and pressurised systems.
Support fault diagnosis on PLC-controlled equipment; coordinate with engineers or vendors on advanced issues.
Conduct routine inspections to ensure equipment reliability and operational safety.
Execute lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) and comply with pressurised-system safety requirements.
Maintain accurate maintenance records, breakdown reports, and follow-up action logs.
Respond to breakdowns to support production continuity.
Comply strictly with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations and company procedures.
Mandatory Requirements
ITE/Polytechnic Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Industrial Maintenance (or equivalent recognised trade qualification).
Demonstrated electrical maintenance competency on industrial systems.
WSH training relevant to a manufacturing/factory environment; working knowledge of LOTO and pressurised-system safety.
Advantageous (not required)
Licensed Electrical Worker (LEW) licence — Electrician or Electrical Technician class (EMA).
WSQ Hydraulic / Electro-Hydraulic System Maintenance certification.
Prior experience in steel plants or similar heavy industrial environments.
Experience
Open to all levels. As a guide: 0–2 years (developing technician, works with guidance) through to 5+ years (independent troubleshooting, specialist). Independent troubleshooting capability commands the upper salary band.
Additional Information
Willingness to work shifts, overtime, or standby duties when required.
