Position Overview

The Business Operations Director is a strategic partner to the Country CEO and senior leadership team, driving operational excellence across client engagement, leadership effectiveness, talent development, and market presence in Singapore and Southeast Asia. This role ensures disciplined execution of strategic priorities and serves as the operational backbone for regional business growth.

Key Responsibilities

1. Client Engagement & Revenue Growth

Execute Singapore's client strategy across occupier, investor, and government segments, coordinating business lines to win work from High-Value Target (HVT) clients

Manage multi-country client engagements including preparing briefing materials, developing meeting agendas, and ensuring systematic follow-up on commitments

Coordinate monthly client meetings and executive gatherings with SEA HVT decision-makers

Draft key client correspondence and manage crisis/complaint responses

Partner with PR/marketing to deliver thought leadership programs across media channels that position JLL as market leader

Monitor macro-economic trends and incorporate insights into strategic briefings

2. Leadership Team Effectiveness

Support multiple SEA leadership forums (Country Heads, Singapore business line heads, Leasing Advisory heads) by establishing agendas, coordinating presentations, reviewing materials for quality, and driving action item follow-up

Plan bi-annual SEA face-to-face management meetings for regional leaders

Work with HR, Finance, and leaders to drive data-informed decision-making and accountability

Support Country CEO's monthly one-on-ones with direct reports to ensure action items translate into results

Facilitate strategic initiatives requiring cross-team and cross-market coordination

Serve as primary gatekeeper for the Country CEO, managing calendar conflicts and protecting time for strategic priorities

Handle highly confidential assignments requiring discretion and sound judgment

3. Talent & Culture Development

Design and execute impactful SEA townhalls that cascade key messages effectively

Partner with HR to support the country CEO in coordination/operational efforts across regional HR initiatives and programs.

Execute leadership newsletter strategy with PR to cascade updates and strategic messages

Work with communications, marketing, and HR to prepare country communications (videos, press releases, employee events)

4. Market Presence & Brand Leadership

Coordinate speaking engagements and industry forums to ensure JLL leads regional conversations

Manage social media presence and external communications

Lead brand enhancement through media opportunities and executive forums

Manage crisis and issues management to protect organizational reputation

Coordinate internal and external events that align people and clients strategically

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communications, or related field

8+ years in business operations, chief of staff, or strategic program management roles

Proven track record managing complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives across markets

Exceptional organizational and project management skills with meticulous attention to detail

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills for executive-level materials

Strong commercial acumen with understanding of professional services business models

Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and data presentation tools

Experience in matrix organizations with cross-functional teams

Demonstrated ability to handle confidential matters with integrity and exercise sound judgment

Preferred

Experience in commercial real estate or professional services

Experience supporting C-suite executives

Crisis communications and brand protection experience
