Banking Integration Consultant

We are seeking a Banking Integration Consultant to support core banking transformation initiatives. The role involves analysing integration requirements, designing interfaces, and ensuring seamless connectivity across banking systems and channels.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse integration requirements across Payments, Trade Finance, Lending, General Ledger, and Treasury/Markets systems.
• Design and develop integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, MQ, Kafka, ESB, and file-based interfaces.
• Support payment system integrations including RTGS, SWIFT, Cards, and real-time payment platforms.
• Support integrations for Trade Finance products such as Letters of Credit, Guarantees, and Collections.
• Integrate loan origination, servicing, disbursement, and repayment systems.
• Ensure accurate accounting entries, reconciliations, and General Ledger postings.
• Define data mappings, transformation rules, and interface specifications.
• Coordinate with middleware teams on ESB, API Gateway, and integration platforms.
• Support SIT, end-to-end testing, defect resolution, and go-live activities.
• Monitor integration performance, SLAs, and system availability.
• Ensure security and compliance standards are followed.

Requirements

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in banking integration projects.
• Experience in core banking transformation projects is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Payments, Trade Finance, Lending, General Ledger, and Treasury/Markets systems.
• Hands-on experience with REST/SOAP APIs, MQ, Kafka, ESB, or microservices architecture.
• Understanding of payment standards such as ISO 20022, SWIFT MT/MX, RTGS, or card payment systems.
• Experience with SQL, data mapping, and data transformation.
• Familiarity with treasury systems such as Murex is an advantage.
• Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Postman, SoapUI, or Swagger.
• Knowledge of security standards such as OAuth2, JWT, and SSL/TLS.
• Good analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
