Logistics and Trade Specialist (MANUFACTURING MNC)

Salary: up to $5000 + transport allowance

Working Days & Hours: Mon-Fri Office Hours

Location: Tuas

• Executes day to day operational activities associated with all modes of shipment for supplier inbound, inter-divisional manufacturing, finished goods replenishment, and warehouse outbound customer freight.

• Prepare accurate & timely inbound and outbound documentation for international air and ocean shipments to ensure the consistent movement of goods and materials throughout our network. Ensuring international shipments are compliant such as export licenses, DG declaration, shipping documents, classifications, valuation, and incoterms.

• Work closely with internal and external parties such as global warehouses, manufacturing, freight forwarders, carriers, or customs brokers to resolve freight related issues such as damages or lost freight, miss-deliveries, freight overages or shortages, late deliveries, and customs holds.

• Compile and maintain recordkeeping in accordance with local customs agency and audit requirement. Maintains databases and reports for the department.

• Verify invoices and generate internal requisition to allow for freight payment to carrier and freight forwarders.

• Identify and initiate continuous improvement opportunities and cost savings or cost avoidance for the company.

Job Requirements: Min Diploma/Degree in Logistics/Supply Chain/Business or similar w min 3 yrs of relevant experience, preferably in manufacturing sector
