Cost Controller [Hotel/ Central]

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 6:00pm
Our client is a leading global hospitality company. They are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Controller to join our Finance team. In this role, you will play a key part in monitoring costs, improving operational efficiency, and supporting profitability across the business. Working closely with Finance, Food & Beverage, and operational departments, you will provide valuable financial insights that help drive informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Cost Management & Analysis
- Monitor and analyse food, beverage, and operational costs to identify trends and variances.
- Evaluate financial performance against budgets and targets, highlighting risks and opportunities.
- Identify areas for cost savings and operational improvements.
- Support departments in implementing effective cost-control measures.
Reporting & Financial Planning
- Prepare regular management reports, cost analyses, and performance dashboards.
- Review financial results and provide recommendations to improve profitability.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Participate in periodic reviews with operational teams to monitor cost performance.
Business Partnering
- Collaborate closely with Finance, F&B, and operational teams to drive financial awareness and accountability.
- Provide meaningful financial insights to support business decisions.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders and communicate financial information effectively.
Controls & Process Improvement
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Support audit requirements and maintain strong governance practices.
- Review existing workflows and recommend process enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Assist in implementing new tools and reporting solutions.
Systems & Administration
- Utilise Excel and financial systems to analyse data and generate reports.
- Maintain accurate records and supporting documentation.
- Support finance system upgrades and reporting enhancements where required.
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
- Experience in cost control, financial analysis, or management reporting.
- Hospitality, hotel, F&B, or related industry experience is advantageous.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with financial systems.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Detail-oriented, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities independently.
