Key Responsibilities
1. Project Planning & Coordination
- Assist in project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, architects, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Review project drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Prepare work schedules and monitor project progress.
2. Site Management
- Supervise daily site activities and construction works.
- Ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings and specifications.
- Monitor manpower, materials, and equipment utilization.
- Resolve technical and operational issues on site.
3. Quality Control
- Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Monitor workmanship and materials used in construction.
- Ensure defects are rectified promptly.
- Maintain quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) records.
4. Safety Management
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety and health regulations.
- Conduct site safety inspections and risk assessments.
- Enforce safety procedures and corrective actions.
- Coordinate with safety officers and relevant authorities.
5. Cost & Budget Control
- Monitor project costs and expenditures.
- Assist in budget preparation and cost forecasting.
- Review variation orders and subcontractor claims.
- Control material wastage and optimize resources.
6. Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
- Maintain project records, drawings, and technical documents.
- Submit reports to management and clients.
- Track project milestones and deliverables.
Requirements
- Degree/Diploma in Engineering
- Knowledge of construction methods, regulations, and safety standards.
- Strong project management and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Project, and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
