Job Summary

Join Red Chamber Entertainment as a Restaurant Waiter/Waitress, delivering excellent customer service by taking orders, serving food and drinks, and maintaining a clean, welcoming dining environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet and escort customers to their tables to ensure a welcoming experience
• Present menus and provide detailed information about portions, ingredients, and potential food allergies
• Prepare tables by setting up linens, flatware, and glasses for service readiness
• Offer menu recommendations to enhance customer dining choices
• Up-sell additional products appropriately to increase sales
• Take accurate food and drink orders using POS software and order slips
• Communicate order details clearly to Kitchen Staff for timely preparation
• Serve food and drink orders promptly and courteously
• Inspect dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation, reporting any issues
• Arrange table settings and maintain a tidy dining area throughout service
• Deliver checks and collect bill payments efficiently
• Clear dirty plates, glasses, and flatware to the kitchen for cleaning
• Collaborate with bar and restaurant staff to review daily specials, menu changes, and reservation service needs
• Follow all relevant health department regulations to ensure safety and compliance
• Provide excellent customer service by attentively responding to guest needs

Required competencies and certifications

• Hands-on experience with cash register and ordering systems (e.g., Revel POS or Toast POS) to accurately process orders
• Basic math skills to handle transactions and billing
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Active listening and effective communication skills to understand and respond to customer requests
• Team spirit to collaborate well with colleagues
